Ismail Hafejee's Successful YAG Laser and Glaucoma Surgery Journey in Turkey

Background:

Ismail H., who underwent cataract surgery in 2007, was experiencing cloudy and blurred vision. He had been suffering from glaucoma for 20 years and was using eye drops, which led to the revocation of his driving license. To improve his vision, eliminate the need for eye drops, and regain his driving license, he contacted Medicalart Turkey.

Treatment Plan:

Upon arrival in Turkey, Ismail underwent a YAG laser procedure to clear the cloudy and hazy vision that developed long after his cataract surgery. The goal of the glaucoma surgery was to lower his intraocular pressure and eliminate the need for eye drops.

Treatment Process:

YAG Laser: Performed on the second day of Ismail's arrival. The procedure took just 10 minutes.

Glaucoma Surgery: Conducted on the third day.

Post-Treatment and Follow-Up:

After the treatment, Ismail was very happy with the results. One month later, during his follow-up in the UK, his intraocular pressure had dropped from 18 to 8. He applied to regain his driving license and will update us on the outcome.

Recommendations:

We advised Ismail to use his eye drops for one month and then have a follow-up examination with his eye doctor after another month.
